A Special Artwork for NASA
The NASA Art Program collects various space artworks
by prominent U.S. and international artists and exhibits the works
for people visiting NASA facilities and public museums in the United
States. 160cm X 120cm acrylic work on canvas entitled "Central Energy,"
was presented to NASA at the Headquarter of the Kennedy Space Center
on May 29, 2008.
The piece was specially created for NASA by Toshiro Sawanuki after
he observed the first part of the Japanese experiment module "Kibo"
launched on Endeavour from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on
March 11, 2008.
"Central Energy" is exhibited at the NASA ART GALLERY, KENNEDY SPACE
CENTER VISITOR COMPLEX.
